Role: Senior SW Installer / DevOps Engineer (MSI Packaging)

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced SW Installer / DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in MSI Packaging using InstallShield. This role requires expertise in Windows installer technologies, debugging, automation, and end to end installer lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities :-

• Develop and maintain MSI packages using InstallShield.
• Work with WiX, NSIS, InstallAnywhere, Visual Studio Installer, etc.
• Deep knowledge of MSI internals, registry, OS behavior, and UAC.
• Handle Windows services, drivers, custom actions, dependencies, and signing.
• Manage localization, patching, reboot handling, merge modules, prerequisites.
• Debug installer issues using logs and analysis tools.
• Implement custom actions (PowerShell, C++, VBScript).- Work with DevOps teams for CI/CD automation integration.
• Collaborate across engineering, QA, security, and driver teams.

Required Skills:-

• 5–7 years of hands-on MSI packaging.
• Strong experience in InstallShield (mandatory).
• Good knowledge of WiX, NSIS, InstallAnywhere.
• Expertise in registry, file permissions, custom actions.
• Scripting with PowerShell, VBScript, or Python.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities
